On January 13th 2011, A Dinner of Unconditional Love will honor the work of a rare human being, Dr. Rick Hodes. Over the past 20 years, through the support of the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC), Dr. Hodes has devoted his personal and professional life to serving Ethiopia’s poor and sick.
Working out of the Mother Teresa Orphanage, he is able to do the following:
Treats cancer patients
→Uses chemotherapy drugs imported from India
Treat people suffering from Heart Disease
→Sends patients to India for surgery
Treats Scoliosis and Tuberculosis of the Spine
→Arranges surgeries in Ghana

Dr. Hodes has adopted 5 children and is a legal guardian to 20 children at any given time; all of whom, he ensures, receive the necessary medical attention for their survival.
